My present body of work has been ecologically driven in an attempt to tie together the connections humankind shares with our environment; my work focuses on our consumption, the nature of being, and living meditations within our universe. Much of my two-dimensional work drives my ideas within creation of my three-dimensional practice. I believe in working with nature, and not against it, because in nature nothing lives for itself; everything is part of one great balancing act.
I would like to invite my audience to use an open mind and all of their senses, to take anything and everything into consideration when examining my pieces. In my work I find that it is much like being a translator, communicating thoughts and ideas that are sometimes clearly understood, other times completely misinterpreted. I encourage honesty when communicating the ideas translated through these works, and I would like to know how these thoughts have been constructed and how they may reciprocate to or differ from my ideas.
