This vessel and its contents are the remnants of Heart of Gold(Fact & Fiction). The piece was a means to address the hazards of romanticism in relationship with reality. The interior of the heart vessel is glazed in a metallic gold, and the vessel stands over 2' in height and 1.5' in diameter. Tokens presented by past lovers, as symbols of affection and love were sealed within the vessel. Some of these tokens included mailed and un-mailed love letters and small gifts and trinkets. The contents were then used as tinder and kindling to build a fire within the heart vessel during a performance that took place in December 2014.
